Refuge du Col de la Vanoise - very large but extremely well-organised, personal and friendly : excellent food : expect lots of day visitors
Refuge le Repoju - small refuge attached to restaurant : excellent food : very friendly
Refuge de Péclet-Polset - extremely modern and well-equipped : good food : wonderful site : as this was a change to original route had to contact by phone - cannot find an e-mail address!
Refuge de L'Orgère - very friendly : excellent accommodation and food : good setting
Refuge de Thabor - was being rebuilt so accommodation rather tight : good food : stunning site :cold showers : prefers contact by phone but there is an e-mail - puissant.eric2@wanadoo.fr
Rifugio Tre Alpini* - in the 'Italian' valley : extremely friendly : warm Italian welcome with excellent food and great atmosphere
