Gîte Ma Vieille Ecole Roya - converted primary school in small hamlet : good food and accommodation - we were unlucky to hit the day in the month when the local shepherds were celebrating loud and late
Refuge de Longon* - converted long cowshed : quite basic sloping (!) accommodation but a real sense of atmosphere : excellent location : good food : cold showers : phone contact only
Gîte St Sauveur sur Tinée - basic accommodation in building on campsite only : book through mairie
Gîte les Marmottes St Dalmas de Valdeblore* - excellent food and accommodation : very clean and spacious : eat with hosts : beautiful village
Gîte du Boréon* - very friendly and helpful warden : excellent food : interesting hamlet with wolf park
Refuge de Madone de Fenestre - large traditional mountain refuge : good food : stunning site : phone or written contact only
