Home Page Hadrian's Wall 2012

In April 2012 we walked with a group of friends from Wallsend near the mouth of the Tyne to Bowness-on-Solway on the Cumbrian coast along the length of the Hadrian's Wall Path. Nine of us completed the whole walk whilst others joined us for some of the days.
We took 9 days to cover the 84 miles allowing ourselves ample time to explore the sites and visit the quite excellent museums and exhibitions along the way.
For much of the walk the path follows the line of the Roman wall and passes through or near all the main sites particularly in the wilder, more remote central section. The 2 major settlements lying to the south of the wall, Coria ( Corbridge ) and Vindolanda are also quite easily accessible.
