Photos - Days 11 - 15 Arette la Pierre St Martin - Arrens Marsous ( posted July 14th )

Beyond Arette we head for the high mountains and frequently walk under peaks soaring up to 2,500 metres+. The weather remains fine with stunning views in all directions. We notice how quickly we seem to progress - the distinctive Pic du Midi d'Ossau is a distant view on day 11, we reach it on day 13 and it's behind on the distant horizon by Day 15. There are some challenging precipitous sections - the Chemin de la Māture is closed because of a rock-fall but the Corniche des Alhas requires ropes to hold on to.
