Photos - Days 21 - 25 Azet - Estaing d'Araing ( posted July 24th )

We are now in remoter countryside with fewer day-walkers. The scenery continues to impress with views to the Maladeta massif ( the highest in the Pyrenees ) in generally sunny weather. With fewer possible overnight stops we meet the same people in refuges most evenings. The exception is Luchon, a spa town filled with tourists, probably the largest town we pass through on the trek. We use a bit of a planned rest day to explore the town and then move on 7k to Artigues to shorten a potentially very long day 24.
